Day 1 - 23rd May
Today the day started with the presentation of all participants and was followed by some games. After that the participants walked into the historical village of Castelo Rodrigo where we got to know the village and then they visit the Palace Cristovão de Moura, where we had a guided tour. In the end of the visit the participants walked down to the small town of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo where we had lunch at the social services.
At the afternoon we went to the Faia Brava Reserve were we saw the Côa river and it's impressive cliffs and learn about the fauna and flora of the region. Later while watching the landscape, we discover what the Faia Brava is about; is work on the regeneration of the natural ecosystem, creating protected areas so they could help animals and plants get is place back. While in Faia Brava, the participants got the chance to watch some wild animal such as horses, swallows and an eagle. In the end of the visit the group went back to Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo where we had dinner at the Piscinas bar.
In the end of the day we enjoyed the experiences; the visit to the historical monuments, the walk through Faia Braia and above all the chance to start knowing a different culture.
