No primeiro workshop, realizado
Do

A ATN
projectos idealizados.

On the 11th
and 20th of June, ATN organized two workshops for the community, with the
porpuse of Developing Opportunities with
Faia Brava. For that, we invited
inhabitants from Vale de Afonsinho, Algodres, Cidadelhe, Quintã de Pêro Martins
e Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo.
On the first workshop, which took place at Centro
Cívico in Vale de Afonsinho, we gathered a group of 19 people that brainstormed
about their desired futures for the region of the Faia Brava reserve, by means of the visualization
of several photos of activities and elements in the reserve. The main objective was to give each one the chance to share
their ideas about their desired future of this territory through their choosen pictures.
While
enjoying some drinks and snacks a comfortable atmosphere was created, which assisted in the development of ideas. From this first workshop, we came out
with 4 main themes, which were further developed during the second workshop.
The second workshop took place in the Junta de
Freguesia from Cidadelhe, and this time people were invited to choose one
theme of their interest – Agriculture and regional products, Tourism, Heritage
and traditions or Nature and environmental education. Through some group dynamics,
they generated ideas for each theme and built a potential working plan.
The workshops were designed by a master student
in communication science, Annemiek Leuvenink, from the Netherlands, and the
results will be presented on her thesis. ATN had the pleasure of having
Alexandra Cerveira Lima to facilitate the workshops.
The seed was planted. ATN wants to thank again
all participants for their time, energy and input and sees future in continuing
to work on the developed ideas to help people making them reality.
